Artful Artichokes, 6 x 6 " oil on archival panel, ©2013, Fay Terry

$100

This is one of my favorite vegetables and they are plentiful right now. I have always loved them and their beautiful color shows up when they are cut in half. I love how they look on this bright table runner.
The final treat when you eat these is the heart of the artichoke which I like much better fresh.

Have a great "tasting spring vegetables" day!

  2. I agree. The heart is such a treat. We were just talking about artichokes. This painting is so lovely. The runner really works well to complement this delicious treat.

  4. Lovely choice of colors - carrying the magenta background in the heart. I cook ours like my mom did... simmer with diced garlic, a pinch of salt...and a TINY splash of olive oil. I'm with you - one of my favorite veggies.
