Squash On The Tablecloth

Squash On The Tablecloth, 8 x 8 " oil on archival panel, ©2015, Fay Terry

Gracious, I didn't mean to leave you without a daily painting for so long!

I love squash of all kinds but this yellow crookneck variety is beautiful and tasty. I have been making my favorite squash casserole and it doesn't last very long at our house!
I have been painting (nearly every day) to get ready for a big show coming up, and painting lots of commissions. It's just been hard to find time to post.

Island Afternoon

Island Afternoon, 9 x 12 " oil on linen panel, ©2015, Fay Terry

This was a fun painting to do while it has been raining all day.  I was at least thinking of a sunny day while I worked. I have painted this scene before and it was on a much smaller scale. I am planning to do an even larger one after I make a few adjustments to this.
My Gardenias have just begun to bloom so I will be painting those when the rain stops. I have been cutting them and bringing their sweet scent into the house. Not everyone loves them, but I surely do.

Charleston Morning

Charleston Morning, 16 x 20" oil on linen, ©2015, Fay Terry

Available at Franklin Square Gallery, Southport, NC

This painting is one from a week-end trip to Charleston that included beautiful weather, the Cooper River Bridge Run, and lots of inspiration for new paintings. I am very pleased that this painting, as well as the one below, were juried into the Summer Regional Show in Southport.
I love this city and hope to go back soon to do more paintings.
Thank you for looking at my art!
