Mushroom Patterns

Tic Tac Toe, 6 x 6 " oil on gessobord panel, ©2012, Fay Terry

This is another painting in my mushroom series. I have decided I really like working in series because one idea leads to another and when the subject is the same for a few days, it is not a big leap to the next painting.  I love setting up a still life in my shadow box and then thinking of another way I want to paint  the subject before I have even finished the first one.
Today was a good day to work in my studio while the temperature outside hit triple digits. Thankfully the water restrictions for lawn and garden have been lifted we could do some watering early this morning.

    1. Thank you, Page. I am so happy to be an artist and to have met such great friends through blogging. I really want my paintings to be more free like yours but I think going through this stage is teaching me to be patient.
