Mushrooms

Mushroom Trio, 6 x 6 " oil on panel, ©2013, Fay Terry

$100 includes shipping

There are so many vegetables that are fun to paint and mushrooms fall into that category because each one is unique in size, shape, and color.

This has been a great family week-end and I enjoyed spending time with my children. I love being a mom and having so many great memories of their growing up years.
Happy Mother's Day!

Mushroom Patterns

Tic Tac Toe, 6 x 6 " oil on gessobord panel, ©2012, Fay Terry

This is another painting in my mushroom series. I have decided I really like working in series because one idea leads to another and when the subject is the same for a few days, it is not a big leap to the next painting.  I love setting up a still life in my shadow box and then thinking of another way I want to paint  the subject before I have even finished the first one.
Today was a good day to work in my studio while the temperature outside hit triple digits. Thankfully the water restrictions for lawn and garden have been lifted we could do some watering early this morning.

Working On A Full House

Two Of A Kind, 6 x 6 " oil on panel, ©2012, Fay Terry

I'm still having a good time painting mushrooms.  These two are taking a nap before dinner. Aren't they cute?

Baby Bellas

Blue Plate Special, 6x6" oil on archival panel, ©2012

This is the first time I have painted mushrooms and I love it almost as much as I love eating them.  Each one has its own "mushroomality"with little twists and turns that are so much fun to paint. This is the start of my series of mushroom paintings and I really hope you'll enjoy them along with me.
There are so many delicious mushrooms available that could not be purchased in the past.  Let me know what your favorites are and how you like to serve them.
