Garden Chore List

Fay Terry, SUN-LOVING, 8 x 8 " oil on museum quality panel, ©2012
SOLD
I slid this flat of Geraniums onto the driveway this morning because they have been in a holding pattern in the shade, waiting to be potted.  We may not even get to them today, but if not planted, at least they have been painted.  The minute I saw the dappled light on the drive, I grabbed my easel and started having fun.
I have been a fan of dappled light since long before I started painting.  I am not sure why it seems so magical to me but it always looks as if light has arrived to start a party and I find it irresistible.

    1. Thanks, Jacki, so nice of you to comment. I still have the first painting that I tried doing dappled light and I can tell I've made progress. The thing I love is that you can never learn it all when it comes to painting, but I'll happily take the bits and pieces that I am learning.
