Easy To Compare
It's actually quite easy to compare apples and oranges when you think of all the ways they are alike. Both are grown on a fruit tree, can be eaten, have almost the same amount of sweetness, can be juiced , have similar calories and levels of vitamin C. Maybe the common idiom about them is not really that appropriate.
