Same Flowers, Different Place

Porch Tulips, 6 x 6 " oil on gessobord panel, ©2014, Fay Terry

$100 plus shipping

It's finally warm enough to enjoy the screened porch so I've been enjoying these tulips on the table where I now eat breakfast and lunch.
I painted this one very quickly, which is how I like to paint daily paintings. Sometimes it works, but sometimes a small painting can take far longer than I imagined.
My large paintings may be viewed on my website, but I need to get busy and update my inventory and work on my site to reflect what I have recently been working on in the bigger sizes.
Thanks for viewing my art!

Lazy, Hazy, Crazy, summer days

House On The Bluff, 12x12 oil on canvas, ©2011, Fay Terry
Sold

I am posting one of my favorites from the past which I would love to paint again. This one is on Bald Head Island and sits high up looking down on the ocean. The next time I am there, I'd like to paint a different view of it because it is such a classic, ageless beach house. I love the many ways the sun hits it and changes the color of the siding. This was the first house at the beach that I ever painted so it's time to revisit it.

Summer Porch

Summer Porch
A porch is a great place to sit and watch nature and people and birds  and animals.  It's also a nice place to entertain friends or read or even paint. The days here are hot and humid right now but there is always a part of the day that's perfect for porch sitting.

Hibiscus In Bloom

Hibiscus In Bloom
These are the days... and nights of glorious summer.  So much to take in and enjoy with all the wonderful sights, sounds, and aromas of life in the outdoors.  This is the largest bloom on the potted Hibiscus on the back porch.  Two more Hibiscus plants on the front porch are filled with large peachy flowers.  They are hard to resist as painting subjects, even though I know that there is no paint color or brush stroke that even begins to do justice to their magnificence.

Blooming At The Beach

Blooming At The Beach

These daffodils love being surrounded by
seashells in the spring when they start to grow
on the porch.  The ocean air is most
refreshing after being underground all winter.
