Show In Raleigh and new ducks

Spring Trio, 6 x 6 " oil on panel, ©2014, Fay Terry

$100, free shipping

My paintings are showing tonight in "Eggistentialism" at the Tipping Paint Gallery on West Martin St., from 6-9 pm. There will be some fun activities relating to eggs and chickens and paintings from sixteen area artists with proceeds going to Urban Ministries of Raleigh. The show will hang through April 26 and is a prelude to the Tour D'Coop event which takes place May 21st. Hope to see you there!

When I was a kindergarten teacher, we hatched duck eggs every spring and used the project for lessons in Math, Science, Art, and Language Arts. After they hatched we gave them back to the NCSU Poultry Department Field Laboratory on Lake Wheeler Road in Raleigh. It was always fun to drive out and get the eggs and start them in our classroom incubator. I always learned from it and so did my kids.
I still miss teaching, but then I think about how lucky I am to be an artist.

  1. Love soft little fuzzy ducks. These are so cute. Didn't realize you were a teacher.
