This cow is such a beautiful caramel color and I love the little swirl at the top of her head.

This is a painting that I would love to do in a larger format, perhaps 24 x @24 inches. I would love to hear your opinion on the green background. If I paint a larger one I might want a different color. Other suggestions, maybe?

Thanks for commenting and emailing me about these little dailies. It really keeps me highly motivated, especially when you tell me you can't go to sleep until you've seen my painting, and other nice things like that!
I have been  working on some larger paintings as well (some 24x30's, and 16x20's).

A Friend From France

Belle Vache Francaise,(Beautiful French Cow),8x8" oil on cradled panel, ©2012, Fay Terry

It's those eyes that draw you toward this magnificent creature on a chilly September morning in Brantome, France. We have hiked up the steep incline behind our hotel before breakfast and even before coffee.  It is worth the climb as we survey the beautiful countryside from this high spot.

There are several cows behind a wire fence and this one is the first to come over and greet us. We take photos to remind us of this special morning.

Cow Country

This is my first cow painting ever and I am pretty pleased with my first attempt.

I would like to paint more of these beautiful animals and I probably will soon.
