I am so glad I signed up for this challenge because I am meeting lots of artists and getting to see some really creative themes and new paintings.  It is especially impressive just by the sheer numbers of paintings that are being posted each day on Leslie's blog. I congratulate all of you who are pouring your love and energy into this project and I hope you are having as much fun as I am.

Having a theme has already been helpful to me; I had no consistency of subject matter the last time I did the challenge and it does make a difference.

Happy Painting and viewing everyone and thanks for visiting my blog!

Favorite Fat Pencils

These are my favorite pencils for drawing and adding color.  They are very large in diameter, and fun to use.

They came from Paris, a gift from my brother who knew I would love them.

Color Tryouts

Summer Four, 6x6" oil on panel, ©2012, Fay Terry

You may already know just how much I love color and I have decided to experiment with color and shape more frequently with inspired designs like this one. It gives me an opportunity to paint without limitations of subject matter and to design a somewhat intuitive painting based on whatever floats through my mind.  What could be more fun than that?

I hope you enjoy this one. I actually got busy and forgot to post this yesterday.

Thank you for looking at my art. Please help me spread the joy of painting by forwarding this to a friend. They can then decide if they would like to have a painting sent to them each day by subscribing to this blog.
