Small Visitor

Looking At You, 6 x 6 " oil on gessobord, ©2014, Fay Terry

$100, free shipping

This little cutie has been spending time on the deck outside the kitchen window. She always seems to be trying to look inside at me and this time I had my camera ready. Every morning and late afternoon a group of Cardinals arrives to eat. The male Cardinals are bright red and the females are a dull greenish color, usually with less color than this one.
Seven states have chosen the Cardinal as their state bird; Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia.

  1. Great painting Fay! Love that expression that you captured and the composition. Everything here is covered in snow so it is a real treat seeing our bird feeder tree speckled with cardinals. Enjoy your visitors (the birds)!

  2. He looks like you caught him. I had 8 male cardinals in my tree out front plus all the females, purple finches and tufted titmice waiting for me to fill their feeder. I love what you've done with this young lady.
