The bright lights in my studio saved me from realizing how dreary it is outside. It also helped that I was totally involved in painting which usually means I don't even look out the windows.
I painted this from a photo that Patti Mollica took and I thank her for generously sharing her photos when I took her workshop. She will be teaching again soon in Cary, NC and I highly recommend her as an instructor.

ReplyDeleteI think it is so interesting you can paint a whole painting but a few little strokes in the hot spots make all the difference. Those lights in the cup and around the lip really bring it to life. Love it.
