Paint First, Then Eat

Winter Breakfast, 6 x 6 " oil on panel, ©2014, Fay Terry

$100 and free shipping

I got my breakfast ready and decided I wanted to paint this grapefruit, so I ate the other half of the grapefruit and the oatmeal and took the rest upstairs to set up in my shadow box and paint. I am  happy with the result and may start using food as subject matter more frequently.
I am excited that the week-end is here and there will be more basketball to watch tomorrow when we play Boston College in Chapel Hill.

Have a wonderful week-end and thanks for all the nice comments.

  1. Love the grapefruit. I always love studying your work. I always learn so much.

  2. That pretty pink grapefruit looks good enough to eat. Enjoy!

  3. This is really lovely. I especially like the touch of blue and white.

  4. Fay, the delicate color of the grapefruit has compelled me to go get one. Beautiful painting to wake up to.

  5. I love all the repeated circles in this painting, and that blue plate adds such a great color contrast !
