Cheerful Morning

Cheerful Morning, 6 x 6 " oil on panel, ©2013, Fay Terry

This is one of the prettiest apples I have seen lately even though it is not my favorite variety.
Honeycrisp are the ones I like to eat, but they are not very bright in color.
Granny Smith apples are my favorite for cooking and I am thinking about making an apple cake that was featured last month in "Our State" magazine. This will necessitate yet another trip to the grocery store, but will probably be worth it. I also like to paint these nicely shaped green apples that the recipe calls for.
If you are local and interested in this painting, let me know and I will deliver it to you.

  1. Wow! You nailed this detailed pitcher. I love gold and blue ....and the red makes it all pop. Go Fay!

  4. Oh my, I am wondering what type of apple it is but what a beautiful painting. The pitcher with the apple complement one another-and that touch of sparkle is perfect.
