This painting is from a photo that I took last week along with lots of others on the brightest sunny day imaginable. The shadows on the leaves and flowers were gorgeous.  I am very pleased with the way this turned out and have several more that I want to paint. It makes me feel the excitement of spring each time I look at it. Maybe you can feel it too and would love to own this one.
P.S. This is my 900th post!! It doesn't seem possible.

Hogfish

Delicious Dinner, 6 x 6 " oil on panel, ©2013, Fay Terry

SOLD

This fish is also known as Hog Snapper and I have cooked it a few times at the beach.  It is a delicious and tender fish and is plentiful right now.

The colors on this fish are amazing and the skin glows.

I love to paint fish so let me know if you have a favorite that I might want to paint.

Have a happy week-end!
