This painting reminds me of how much I enjoy experimenting with new recipes along with tried and true favorites.

I have certainly been doing a lot of cooking lately, especially trying some new soup recipes. I like soup for lunch on these cold days, but it has to be homemade. The most recent recipe I tried and liked was a Tomato and Black Bean Soup recipe from a vegan cookbook. Next I am going to try curried sweet potato and parsnip soup.

This is a very quick painting of a tiny part of the garden, including some Basil in a paper cup that I have not had time to plant in the ground.  There is a big thunderstorm on the way so I really had to hustle to get it painted.
