Purple And White Pansy, 6x6" oil on museum quality panel
This is one of the giant pansies we planted in September and they are blooming up a storm. This bloom was so large it just kind of draped itself over the edge of the vase. I don't usually pick the pansies because they are so much prettier on the plant where they will stand up tall and show their colorful faces but I wanted to paint this particular one.
I hope you are having a wonderful week-end. We are enjoying being outdoors in the sun even though it is a little chilly.
I love those giant pansies, Fay! I like the cheerful faces! I don't usually pick them, either, but this one sure looks nice, and it extends the bloom, maybe! Nice job!
