Sweet Peaches

Fresh From The Orchard, 6 x 6 " oil on gessobord, ©2015, Fay Terry

$100 plus tax and $10. domestic shipping

Every time I buy fresh peaches, I choose them for their paintability, often using one of my favorite plates when I set up the still life. Since this is the first day of the thirty paintings in thirty days challenge, I decided to start the month with bold colors. This is how I love to paint. I did manage to use some grey in the shadows.

I am certainly excited to be taking part in Leslie Saeta's challenge for the fourth, (or maybe fifth) time.
You can see the other paintings HERE.

30 Paintings In 30 Days-Day 17

Grapefruit And Kumquats, 6 x 6 " oil on museum quality panel, ©2015, Fay Terry

$100 plus shipping

This is the second painting I've done with red grapefruit and kumquats. The yellow bowl is a favorite of mine, handmade by Donna Mandell,  one of the potters at Franklin Square Gallery, where I have some of my paintings. It has a handle on the left which is not seen here.

Peaches And Pink Stripes, 6 x 6 " oil on panel, ©2014, Fay Terry

$100 and free shipping

What a great week-end this has been with a trip to the beach and getting home in time to paint these peaches from a set up in my studio.  I finally tried another one of my striped towels, bright pink this time.
Hope you've had a fun week-end!

Social Visit

Friendly Chat, 6 x 6 " oil on panel, ©2013, Fay Terry

These Bartlett pears may not be ready to eat for awhile. They are very green and hard, pretty to look at but not tempting yet. I remember that pears were my favorite fruit when I was growing up and my mother always bought them for us when they were in season.

Small Daily

Patriotic Pears, 6 x 6 " oil on gessobord panel, ©2013, Fay Terry

$100 and free shipping

I am officially back to doing my small daily paintings since many of you have told me you missed seeing them each day.  Thank you for motivating me to get back to posting a painting daily. I do paint every day but since I have been painting some very large works, posting has been less frequent.
So glad to have these  Anjou pears on hand which are very sturdy and show no signs of softening.
Maybe I'll paint another pear painting for tomorrow.
