This is one of my personal favorites, another Maine painting, which sold at One Eleven Main in Aberdeen, NC.  I am very happy that it has found a permanent home. I was told that it would be missed in the store, so I am working on more lobster boat paintings for the summer season. Let me know if you are interested in one. Usually they are this size or larger.

Peaceful Spot

This is a beautiful spot on the Kennebunk River where  the variety of boats is amazing. You see everything from huge yachts to small inflatable boats and lots of working boats like this one.

I have stayed for hours and painted near this location while watching the continual parade of boats coming and going.  What fun!

I certainly had a great time painting this one and I hope you like it. I will probably paint a larger version of this one soon. This is the same boat that is in my recent painting "Checking The Traps".

Lobster Boat Study

There are all kinds of boats, but not any I would rather paint than a Maine lobster boat, especially one in action out on the ocean.  I am planning to do a larger version of this and I just wanted to do a quick study to see how it would go.  I am pretty happy with this one and looking forward to doing a big one. I will put the name of the boat on it next time, it's one I have been seeing a photographing for quite a few years.
